Spring Greetings from Mountain Top Youth Camp!

As Sauratown Mountain shrugs off the icy grip of winter, the signs of life are unmistakable all around us.  Hopeful red buds dot the ends of maple tree branches.  A breeze carries the song of birds, and we are reminded of the beauty of God’s creation.  We look forward to the great things God has planned at Mountain Top this summer.  There is much work ahead to prepare for the influx of campers in a few short weeks.  We must repaint some spaces, repair roofs, re-seed grass, construct new challenge courses, and much more.  To many of you, Mountain Top may seem like a place that you visit only during the summer, but there is life, progress, and excitement up here all year.

What’s going on now?

Several groups of people have recently come and volunteered to work on some projects.  (See pictures of all this on the MTYC website!)  They have helped recoat the interior of some of our cabins with polyurethane and have repainted the inside of our walk-in cooler.  We have also been blessed to have a group of family and friends renovate our putt-putt course.  It now looks crisp, cheerful, and ready for play!  Another group gave up their Saturday to help us spread twelve truckloads of mulch, as well as assisting with some other tasks in preparation for the spring and summer events.

As always, we appreciate your prayers as the summer gets closer.  Continue to join us in this ministry through prayer and any other ways you are led, as we continue this work.  We trust the Lord to use MTYC powerfully for His glory!
