A Message From the MTYC President

I would like to emphasize the following:

  1. Would you please promote MTYC within your local meetings.
  2. Please help us on recruiting campers for the junior boys and junior girls camp weeks ages 8 to 10 years old.
  3. Each assembly should view MTYC as an extension of their local ministry as an extremely effective evangelistic outreach to young souls.
  4. Promotion of MTYC in your respective communities could turn into an effectual outreach to your neighborhood children and families.

Thank you to each one for their participation in this ministry!

A new website

Feb 24, 2013

Well, in addition to all the work projects of camp, the website here is a work in progress. Keep in mind it’s volunteer labor. 🙂 So anyways a few notes although the site is simple the hope is that it involves people in the ministry of the camp and enables campers to connect with their friends and friends of the ministry to become involved how they can.

Fall 2012 Newsletter

Nov 1, 2012

From the Staff Member’s Desk…

Fall is my favorite season of the year. I don’t know if it’s the cooler weather, the leaves changing on the trees, deer season or just the fact that my birthday is in November but I just love it! This is my first time spending the whole fall season here on the mountain and it has been jam packed with work projects, retreat groups and even 2 fall camp weeks.

One reason camp ministry is very important is that it can draw lots of young people in that never may have wanted to step foot inside of a “church building”. Camp gives them an opportunity to hear the Gospel preached and surrender their lives to Christ. I know that MTYC is reaching people and making a difference in many lives today. A few weeks ago I was eating at Applebee’s when the waitress noticed my MTYC shirt and told me how she used to come as a young camper until she was about 14. She said she was graduating from high school this year and was sad that she had outgrown the camp weeks. Her day was brightened when I shared with her about Extreme Weekend, our fall retreat for young adults. Now she is looking forward to coming back next fall. With all the busyness coming up in these approaching holiday weeks please don’t forget the ministry at MTYC in your prayers.

-Bryan Westcott

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” Psalms 90:1-2

It’s not too early to begin thinking about how you can serve at MTYC during the 2013 summer!!!
